Meetings at the Norwich RBL Club in Edmund Bacon Court, Aylsham Rd, Norwich at 1100 am, generally on the 3rd or 4th Sunday, continue to attract a good attendance. Our newest members are ex-2 R Norfolk Chris Frost, former driver to Lt Col Orlebar and former Royal Navy man Bob Jones, who initiated, in 2005, the refurbishment of the 1970s VC Memorial in Knowland Grove. At the Dec 05 Branch Christmas Drinks with the ladies he was presented by Lt Col Paul Garman with a framed print of the ‘Jamieson VC’ painting with a brass plaque expressing our appreciation.
Sadly, Bob Jones died on Fri 21 Apr 06 after a long illness. In recent months we also lost our President, Capt William Gaymer TD and our Vice Chairman, Barney Taylor, both in Jan 06. Click here for their obituaries.
